Horseshoe brooch

This pin is approx. 42mm in diameter and is sterling silver.  The horse shoe design was often worn by men to keep their shirts closed.  In todays world, it seems that the ladies have also enjoyed the design along with the gentleman that are involved in the folk dancing groups.
